This project was for my Digital Publishing class at Southwestern Michigan College.
We were given the task of finding a book on Project Gutenberg and create an alternate cover for the novel.
I chose "The Picture of Dorian Gray" because I had previously seen the movie adaptation and enjoyed the story. "The Picture of Dorian Gray" is a novel by Oscar Wilde about a man who wishes to stay young forever while his portrait ages and reflects his immoral actions. This wish is granted, and as Dorian indulges in a hedonistic lifestyle, the portrait becomes a grotesque representation of his moral decay. Ultimately, Dorian destroys the painting, which leads to his own death and the return of the portrait to its original, youthful state.
